Are you Ready???

Finally!!
As of the 1st April, 2009 the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue is available, and can be ordered from!

This catalogue not only shows you what Stampin' Up! has to offer in the way of tools, papers, embellishments, ink pads, embossing powders, stamp sets and delightful designer series papers, it also shows you many different ideas and techniques! It's a fantastic edition, and Stampin' Up! are to be congratulated on such a wonderful magazine. :-)

No longer do you have to try to work out which papers go with which designer series paper. It's all in here for you to see for yourself! Perfectly co-ordinated cardstocks, ribbons, inks and embellishments will make card making and scrapbooking projects a breeze!

This years in-colours are fantastic! Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirrouhette and Tangerine Tango are the names of this years colour range, and they are just stunning!

Let me know if you would like to order a magazine from me (NZ only) or if you live in the Christchurch area, and would like to meet up for a demonstration so you can see the new range for yourself. Just send me an email, or give me a call. I'm always glad to hear from anyone who like me loves their crafts!! :-)

Lots of Male Birthdays coming up....

As I have quite a lot of male birthdays coming up over the next few months, I need to create a few different masculine type cards. This is one I did today.
Creating cards for Males is difficult for me, probably due to the fact that I have 4 Sons, 4 brothers, a Step-Father, Husband, 10 Nephews, numerous Uncles and male cousins etc. etc. etc....
It's always such a relief to be able to create some nice feminine cards!!
At least mixed in with all the Masculine cards, I get to create my Mother a Mother's Day Card!!
Stampin' Up! have some great stamp sets like the one I used on this card, being released on the 1st April, 09 in their new catalogue.
If you would like to pre-order a catalogue from me, please send me an email: tolorabirmans@gmail.com
Cost for the catalogues are $10 NZD

I DO..........

... enjoy creating things. ;)

It's been a lovely few days while my Son and his Fiance have been here visiting, helping them create their Wedding Invitations etc. We've had a GREAT time, and once the colours were finally decided on, it was all go!! Here is a sneak peek at those invites...

We only did the Prototypes, and once we get all the supplies, will sit down and "create" all the invites, RSVP's and wedding favours we will need.

Sneak-Peek... at some new products!!

Due to be released on the 1st April, 2009 is the new Stampin' Up! catalogue for 2009 - 2010. I have been able to pre-order a few bits and pieces, so here is a card I made using the new In-Colour, Bali Breeze and the Stamp Set Rustic Rooster which will be one of the new Hostess Gifts you could earn.

The Designer Series Paper used in this project is from one of the retiring sets, Le Jardine.
The rub-on word is one I had in my stock. Sorry I don't know where that is from.

Get Well Wishes....

"If Wishes Could Make You Well.....
You'd Be Better Already!"
This is the saying on the card. Matching the card is a little purse filled with minties. A sweet get well set I made today.
The Paper is from the retiring DSP papers, Spring Showers, and I think it is really lovely! The plain card stock is another retiring colour, River Rock, from 2008's In-Colour range.
Stampin' Up! have a very good range of Designer Series Papers. I only wish I had been a part of SU long enough to have got more of their papers before they retired them all.
I am looking forward to April the 1st to see what they are bringing out to replace it all though. Not long to wait now!!
Today is my Niece's 23rd Birthday. I'd like to wish her a very happy day, and hope that she got her card on time.
My next few cards will have to be masculine cards... April and May are BIG Birthday months for our family! Luckily it will be Mothers Day here in May also, so at least I get to make one feminine card! :-)

Mothering Sunday...

As those of you from UK, or with relatives in the UK know, Sunday 22nd March is Mothering Sunday! Wouldn't it be lovely to create a card to send to that special someone. There is also a site you can visit where you could order something for your Mother who is so far away. Check it out:

After all, isn't every Mother worth that extra bit of pampering.

This card was made using the "Summer by the Sea" stamp set from Stampin' Up!

2009/2010 Idea Book & Catalogue .....

The launch of the brand new idea book & Catalogue from Stampin' Up! happens on the 1st April, 2009. How exciting! I have had a sneak peek at what's coming, and I have to say I cannot wait!

If anyone is interested in ordering one of these new catalogues, please feel free to contact me about your pre-payed and pre-ordered books.

What can you expect to see available? Well, we can only guess!

  • The new In Colours look fantastic! I'm sure you will be impressed!
  • More stamp sets. Looking at the retiring stamps list, I am sure the new catalogue will be packed with stunning new stamps for us to Ooohh and Aaahh over.
  • Fresh new ideas, in the ideas booklet.
  • New toys to play with!
  • Brads, eyelets, ribbons!! Can you tell I am excited!!

One thing I can tell you, is that the Designer Series Papers have increased in price to reflect a more realistic price. Last year, they were advertised at the cheaper price by mistake, so SU honoured that mistake for the entire 12 months. My advice is to stock up NOW on DSP papers before this catalogue ends on the 31st March, 2009 (Not long to go!).

Having said that, the new colours and patterns in the Designer Series Papers are absolutely stunning! Although the price has increased on some items (even Stampin' UP! has been hit by the hard economic times) it is still excellent value for money, and one thing about SU, they NEVER compromise on quality.

Loads of Love........

Hmmm I can see this one being another one of my favourites! The possibilities with this set is literally limitless! I absolutely loved putting this card together! With one or two "Male" birthdays on the horizon, I am very pleased to have this set on hand.

I also got to try out my wonderful new Crop-A-Dile, and it worked like a dream! No more having to use a hammer, lump of wood, and that old setting tool set.

Now the weather is cooling down, I am looking forward to days spent crafting. Roll on Winter I say!!

My Favourite Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

The "For Father" Stamp set from Stampin' Up! is my favourite! I guess it comes from the necessity of making so many cards for men! I think it is so adaptable, and well, I just love it!
I ran out of chocolate ribbon to use on this card, but this will do till replacement supplies arrive. Don't you just love that puppy!!
I am very sorry that the "Summer by the Sea" stamp set has been retired, but I know I am still going to get a lot of use from that stamping set also.
I am so excited about the release of the new Stampin' Up! catalogue, it is due to be released on the 1st April 2009, so I am dying to see what is new! I've already had a sneak peek at a few of the goodies, and the new "In Colours" which are coming!
I also got a new toy to play with! It's called a "Crop-A-Dile" from SU. You use it for setting eyelets and punching holes. It's incredibly easy to use. Even though it might look like it's bulky, it really isn't! I'm loving it, and will make something very soon to show off my new toy.
