A Scrapping Challenge...

This weekend, Tia Routledge and I are having a challenge between us. We decided to create a scrapbook page. One turned into two, then two turned into three! Once we got into the swing of it, neither of us wanted to stop!

Here are my efforts for this weekend. Rather varied.. but its been fun.

 This first one is my Niece Anita's wedding photos. She was married in May, 2011 in Hervey Bay. I used some material from her actual wedding dress, some ribbon from her bouquet and some dried roses I had, as the wedding flowers were roses.

 Next, this is something I have had in mind to do for quite some time. My Nephew Matthew, with one of his horses. Its not quite how I had imagined it, but I am pleased with it. The photo could have been a bit brighter, but you can sort of see it. ;-)

 This is Alirah Norris, my Great-Niece. These photos were taken in a park in Mudgee NSW, don't they show off the Autumn tones well! I love these photos so really didn't want to do too much to the background of these.

These two cuties are my Great-Niece Amalie, and Great-Nephew William. Adorable!! Very much outdoors children, always on the go, so loving!! I hope I captured a bit of their personalities in these pages. I really enjoyed scrapping these.

So, thats my challenge for this weekend. Please check back often, I do have a few things that I need to blog about, so hopefully I will get to those very soon!!

Everyone loves a Cowboy!!

.................. and I am no different! Well, I love these two cowboys anway! My Nephew's Matthew and James. Not everyone is lucky enough for their Dad's to own a farm, but these two boys are! What a life!!
They look like they were born in the saddle don't they!! I haven't quite finished off these pages, I would like to add some embellishments, but just couldn't find anything in my stash! Pity Stampin' Up! have retired their horse related stamp sets!!

Welcome to my Blog!

Hi, welcome to my Blog Site, where I wish to share with you my cards, my scrapbooking pages, and other crafty stuff. :-)

I haven't been making cards very long, but since getting a Cuttlebug for Mother's Day in 2008, I have become hooked! It's just amazing, and I thoroughly enjoy it.

I have been scrapbooking for a couple of years, but never really been to any classes (maybe I should? lol). Again, it is something I enjoy doing, and find it very rewarding.

My reasons for starting to Scrap were when I wanted to put together an album for my Mother's 70th birthday. I wanted something different, and with a story to tell. I am also into Genealogy, so I wanted to incorporate the two things.

I wish to leave behind more than photographs. I want my photos to tell the stories of when they were taken, where they were taken, and who was in them! I wanted to leave behind a small history of MY family and friends. :-)

Over the years I have been interested in many crafts. From cake decorating to quilling. I have tried my hand at knitting (I am not a knitter! lol) at crochet (I did manage to put edges on a few face washers, and some tea towels!) at sewing (I enjoyed that more when the kids were little, or when I had babies to sew for!) and at cross stitch (I still have heaps in the cupboard, and if my eyes were any better, I would still be doing this, as I love cross stitch!).

I hope you enjoy visiting my blog site, and viewing my pictures of cards and layouts I have created. I am not the worlds best at this craft, but I do love it. :-)
