Pocket Card..

This was my first attempt at a pocket card. So easy to create when you have the right gear!!
For this project I chose the SU Secret Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit, which is a lovely pack. It comes complete with co-ordinating papers, and stickers. The ribbon I used is Groovy Guava, which seems to go very nicely with quite a lot of the papers I got from Stampin' Up!
This may be the first pocket card, but I can assure you, it won't be my last! :-)

Today's Card Effort...

Today I had a play with the Jumbo wheel, and the Kindess stamp wheel. I really like this! If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it!! :-)
I used the "Priceless" stamp set from Stampin' Up! for the butterflies. I cut out the butterflies and mounted them, giving a 3-D effect. The ink I used was Bravo Burgundy.
A very simple, easy to put together card. I do feel it needs a bit of bling, so perhaps once my "Pretties" set arrives, it may get an embellishment or two added.
The Priceless stamp set is very versatile. I can see it getting a lot of use, especially once I drag the scrapbook pages out again! Likewise the kindness wheel.
Once finished, I cleaned everything up using the Stampin' Scrub (also from Stampin' Up!) with a spray of Stampin' Mist. Too easy!!
Over the next week or so, I am hoping to try out all my stamp sets, and a few different ideas I have.

I just love this Stamp Set!

This is one of the cutest stamp sets ever! As I tend to make a lot of cards for males, I absolutely adore this set from Stampin' Up! It's called "For Fathers" and is in the Summer Catalogue.

I teamed the stamp with Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi card stock. The only non-SU item on this card is the green brads I used as an embellishment.

I'm just so thrilled with this set of stamps.

Using the Fun and Fast Notes stamps this time, I quickly made this Get Well card. All papers again are from Stampin' Up! The image is coloured using an aqua pen and SU's Water Colour Wonders Crayons.

This card was made using the Sale-A-Brations stamp set, Polka Dot Punches. Card stock used was whisper White, paper from the Fall Flowers series and Always Artichoke. Image stamped using Whisper White ink pad.

I now have my Stampin' Up! Kit, and I am ready to go!!

My gear arrived yesterday and I have been busy assembling all my lovely stamp sets, so now I am ready to get started!!

Something's In The Air...........

On Valentines Day, 2009, my Niece Anita became Engaged to be married. That's four of the kids now who are Engaged! My oldest Son Christopher became Engaged to his Fiance Leaha on Valentines Day 2007, Nerissa my brother's daughter got Engaged in 2008, and my other Son Ron became Engaged to his Fiance Cavina last month! So, I thought it deserved a Scrap page...

I love dramatic sky photos! I have quite a few taken looking out over Christchurch skies. One day, I will get around to scrapping them.

It's Official!

I am now a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!!

I am eagerly awaiting my new goodies arriving, and once they do, you will see some card making and scrapbooking!! I have such ideas!!

I have been extremely lucky in that this month is the Sale-A-Bration month, meaning that for every $120 you spend on Stampin' Up! products, you get a free set of stamps! How good is that, I got TWO sets of stamps with my very first order.... FREE!! I so cannot wait till they arrive. (And am thinking I could squeeze in another order before the end of February! lol)

Can you tell I am excited?

Once I get organised, I am hoping to host cropping days, and workshops at my home just outside Christchurch.

......... Watch This Space!! ..............

I wish I could show you something I have created over the weekend, but my efforts sadly ended up in the bin! I just couldn't get into it! As per usual, everything I wanted to use, I didn't have! Either card stock, stamps, ink pads or ribbons!! *sigh* I hate days (or in this case, weekends!) like that!

.. and while I am making flowery cards.....

.. I thought I would make this Daffodil card. :-) I simply LOVE daffodils, one of my favourite flowers! I've had this stamp for a few years, but never used it before.
The stamp is another PSX stamp, and this time I coloured in using the Tombow duel tip pens. I've used my Stampin' Up! Wild Wasabi background paper, and cuttlebugged my card with the swiss dots embossing folder (probably my favourite of all the cuttlebug embossing folders!).

Pansy Card

I used a PSX stamp for this card, and coloured it in using Twinkling H2O's and an aqua pen. The pansies are layered giving it a slightly 3-D look (my favourite medium for card making).

Cards created today

Here are some cards I created today, using my Stampin' Up! ink pads.
I've had the stamps for a few years but haven't used them in ages.
Once my Stampin' Up! kit arrives, I look forward to making more cards, and using stamps more!

And my Great-Niece Amalie when she was a baby. Such a sweetheart. :-) I enjoy doing black and white layouts.

Wintery Scene Layout

This is a terrible photograph of the page I did of my Great-Niece Amalie. The photos were in Black and White, and just begged for a Wintery background. I found the perfect paper for them. Pity you can't really see it.

.... just a couple more cards I have made...

I have to admit I have spent more time on card making of late, but I did manage to get one or two pages completed.
As you can see, cats feature very much in my life, even in my scrapbooking and card making.
I've just become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, so I am very much looking forward to using their wonderful products from now on in my projects.

Men's Birthday Cards

Here is a card I made. I find it very difficult making cards for men and boys. I used the cuttlebug for the Happy Birthday wording, and also for the embossed background.
