Brayer play..

I've been having a play with my "brayer", and I am loving it! Both these cards contain all Stampin' Up! materials. The backgrounds have been done using the brayer roller and ink pads.

The first card is using the "Lovely As A Tree" stamp set (my favourite!) purely pomegranite cardstock and ink (retired colour) and Elegent Eggplant ink and ribbon.

The second card was created using the "Heartfelt" stamp set. Background created using soft sky and Blue Bayou ink pads (retired 08 colours), Yo Yo Yellow, Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie ink pads. Ribbon is Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon.

Book Marks!

I'm not sure what the weather is like where you are, but here it is very, very cold! It's hailing, sleeting and pouring rain, and quite windy. Just the sort of day for curling up with a good book.

So, if you have a book, you need a bookmark! I decided now was a good time to make a few of these. I used the Haiku designer series papers, with Pumpkin Pie and Kiwi Kiss card stock.

The clip-on at the top can be detached and used as an additional bookmarker.

Something Blue...

I wanted to create another scrapbook page today (as the weather is so cold, wet and miserable, perfect day for crafting!!) and what better subject that my adorable Great-Nephew William!
I used the retired Hostess gift set "Polka Dot Punches" which I stamped out on whisper white card stock, punched with the scallop circle punch. I LOVE the effect!! Not quite Navy was the ink and card stock I chose, and the background paper is one of the Urban Garden DSPapers.
Isn't William the happiest looking baby! Tomorrow is forecast colder.. and wetter! Looks like MORE crafting for me!! ;-)

.. and now for the New!

Isn't this the sweetest little bird? It reminds me so much of an English Red Robin.
I'm loving this set of stamps and can see it being very popular. The stamp set is called "Spring Song" and retails for $30.95 NZD.
I've used chocolate Chip card stock, and Chocolate Chip 1" ribbon. The image is stamped in choc chip ink.

Something Old, Something New.....

Although both these stamp sets are now retired, they still have that "WOW" factor for me, as I am a relative newcomer to the world of Stampin' Up! How I wish I were around when these beauties were available!

I was lucky enough for a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and my very own Upline, Michelle Cave, to lend me these stamp sets so I could have a play with them. Thanks Michelle. :)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

In NZ (and Australia) we celebrate Mother's Day this year on the 10th of May. This is the card I made for my Mother. It is using the now retired Stipple Rose stamp set from Stampin' Up!
